Historic Downtown Honolulu Segway Tour
About Your Tour
This tour offers the ‘best of both’ with a beach and city experience. Stop aboard to learn to ride your very own Segway Personal Transporter and once training is completed your Segway tour experience will take you along Waikiki’s famed Kalakaua Avenue to the Duke Kahanamoku Beach in Waikiki and then glides past the famous Ilikai Hotel. Cruise past the mult-million-dollar yachts lined along the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor. Within minutes, find yourself crossing over the Ala Wai Canal and into Ala Moana Beach Park and Kaka’ako Waterfront Park where we will glide to the Echo Stone and the Ehime Maru Memorial and spectacular cross-island vistas.
We glide towards downtown Honolulu, stopping at historic Aloha Tower and to check out the restored coral reef and the fish that now comes to feed. We enter downtown through historic Bishop Street, passing the historic transportation buildings from more than a century ago as you glide into colorful Chinatown and Hotel Street as we make our way towards Washington Place – home to Hawaii’s Governor – the State Capitol Building, enter the grounds of Iolani Palace – home to Hawaii’s only palace on American soil – view the centuries-old banyan trees on the Palace grounds, see Iolani Barracks, the King Kamehameha Statue and the historic Kawaiahao Church and continue gliding beside the little nestle of austere buildings that form the Mission Houses built in 1920 by Hawaii’s first missionaries.
We then head back towards the beach and glide back to our starting point.
This tour offers an experiential glide through the history of 19th Century Honolulu. Tour is now approximately 3 to 4-Hours and departs at 8:30am Daily.
