Hawaiian Nene Goose

Descendants of the Giant Canada Goose which migrated to the islands of Hawaii about 500,000 years ago, the Hawaiian Nene Goose we see today has evolved and adapted to survive in Hawaii.

Known for their distinct blue mouths and black, yellow, and blue stripes, the Humuhumunukunukuapua’a is Hawaii’s state fish, and is one of the most commonly seen fishes around Hawaii’s reefs.
