History at its finest: welcome to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, where a world of exploration through wartime history awaits. Sweeping views of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial serve as a backdrop to this serene, contemplative landscape. Experience exciting museums, meet some of the last remaining Pearl Harbor survivors, watch a documentary featuring real footage and step aboard the Arizona Memorial to give respect to those lives lost. Don't forget to visit the USS Bowfin Submarine, the USS Missouri Battleship, and Ford Island during your visit.

History

The latest renovation of the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, unveiled December 7, 2010, features all-new museums, interactive displays, open-space grounds and more. On December 7, 1941, Japanese military hit Oahu with a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. The United States of America joined World War II after losing thousands of lives aboard battleships, on airfields and throughout Pearl Harbor.

• How long we stop here on tour: Depends on which tour you take. 2 to 2 1/2 hours at the Visitor Center and USS Arizona Memorial. Full day tours available.
