One of Oahu’s most serene, relaxing landmarks, tucked against the beautiful
Ko'olau Mountains in the
Valley of the Temples Memorial. The
Byodo-In Temple is a replica of a 950-year-old Buddhist place of worship in Uji, Kyoto, Japan. Hawaii’s Byodo-In is surround by koi ponds and was built without nails. Admission fees to the temple grounds are included with all our tours.
History
To commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to arrive in Hawaii, the
Byodo-In Temple was established on June 7, 1968.
