Here at Discover Hawaii Tours, we’re serious about the quality of our products and services; that’s why we have many programs in place to insure we consistently exceed customer expectations. One of our ventures is the Mystery Shopper Program. This popular program is a fantastic way for us to gauge the performance of our talented guides as well as the execution of the full tour experience.

What’s in it for you? Well, first- by participating, your feedback will help to increase the quality of our products for future visitors. And second –Mystery Shoppers get a $20 refund on their tour purchase. That’s right, A $20 REFUND!

Here’s what you do. Purchase the tour at the full price and check the box for the Mystery Shopper Program. This will enroll you as a potential Mystery Shopper. If you are selected as a Mystery Shopper for your tour, we will send you a link to a brief webform at least 48 hours prior to your tour. Take the tour with the questions from the form in mind and after, fill out the webform and submit it to us by clicking the “Submit Form” button. When we receive the completed webform, we will offer you a $20 refund off your original tour purchase.

  • Q: What do I need to do to receive a $20 refund?

    A: Book a tour with us and check the box for the Mystery Shopper program. If you are selected, take the tour and fill out a form about your experience. When we receive the completed form, we will offer you a $20 refund off your tour purchase!

  • Q: Who can be a Mystery Shopper?

    A: Anyone who books one of our tours online can check a box on the reservation page to indicate interest as a potential Mystery Shopper for that tour. All potential Mystery Shoppers must have access to the internet, in order to complete the Mystery Shopper Webform.

  • Q: If selected, what do I need to do?

    A: First, we’ll provide you with a link to the webform you’ll fill out after your tour so you can see what we want you to evaluate. Then, simply enjoy the tour! After your tour, you’ll have ten days to go online and complete the webform. Once we receive your completed report, we’ll offer a credit of $20 to your credit card.

  • Q: How many mystery shoppers do you need?

    A: We will be conducting a mystery shopper evaluation for each of our guides roughly once per month, which means that there is an ongoing need for Mystery Shoppers.

  • Q: I’m coming with my husband on a tour. Can we both be Mystery Shoppers?

    A: While you can both collaborate on the report, we will only offer one $20 refund per party.

Special Notes

Our mystery shoppers are selected randomly based on the day, time and tour we choose to have mystery shopped. If you wish to enroll as a potential Mystery Shopper, please check the Mystery Shopper checkbox when purchasing your tour. We will contact you at least 48 hours prior to your tour if you have been selected. Please note, Mystery Shopper refunds are offered to one adult per party. Completed forms must be submitted within 10 days after your tour for a $20 refund to be granted.
