Oahu tour featuring USS Arizona Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine and Pacific Aviation Museum
In addition to our already wide variety of tours to Pearl Harbor, Discover Hawaii Tours would like to introduce another crowd pleasing excursion, The Pearl Harbor War Memorials Tour. This trip will include visits to the following famous Pearl Harbor locations: the USS Arizona Visitors Center and Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine, and the Pacific Aviation Museum. Viewing each of these sites with us is a wonderful way to learn a great deal of history and have an enjoyable time doing so.
Your exciting tour of Pearl Harbor will begin with hotel pick up in Waikiki. Then, your guide will offer a dramatic retelling of the events that led to the Pearl Harbor attacks on December 7th, 1941. Your first stop will be the USS Arizona Visitors Center and Memorial. After you are ushered into the Visitor’s Center facility, you will view gripping footage of the Pearl Harbor attacks and then walk out to the US Navy Shuttle Boat. The shuttle boat will take you out the USS Arizona Memorial. At the memorial you will have a chance to peer down at the actual wreckage of the USS Arizona Battleship. Notice the “black tears of the Arizona, the shrine room, and more. After riding back to the Visitors Center, your Arizona tour will conclude with a visit of the WWII Museum and gift shop.
Next stop will be the USS Bowfin Submarine, which is located a short walk away from the USS Arizona Visitor’s Center. The Bowfin Submarine was in operation with the US Navy from 1943 to 1947 and again from 1951 to 1971 when it was mostly used for training purposes. Walk along this vessel and discover its narrow hallways and sleeping quarters. Decorated with military memorabilia, the bowfin is not only a museum in itself but also a canvas for historical artifacts. Even the grounds at the Bowfin are perfectly utilized. On your tour, view artifacts including torpedoes, missiles, and a quad gun.
After you visit the USS Bowfin, take a ride out to Ford Island where you will tour the Pacific Aviation Museum. See and learn about historical aircrafts from around the world. Also, find out some more information about some of the world’s top pilots.
Once you have finished viewing the Pearl Harbor War Memorials, your guide will take you through historic Honolulu. See the Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific, King Kamehameha Statue, Iolani Palace and more. You will also pass by some locations significant to the early life of President Barack Obama.

Due to construction work on the boat dock, shuttle boat rides to/from the USSÂ Arizona Memorial will not be operating during the following period:Â Â Â Â Â

However, visitor center facilities will be open during this time. Guests will have access to the theater, museum, bookstore, interpretive exhibit panels and audiotours.
