Father Damien de Veuster, a Belgian priest, landed on Molokai in 1873 and made it his mission to care for and provide aid to the lepers in the area. Today, his church, home, and grave site still stand and are now popular visitor attractions. In addition to Saint Damien, Molokai is also known for possessing the tallest sea cliffs in the world, a gorgeous sight to be viewed as you fly over to the island.
