We are extremely excited about tomorrow’s unveiling of the Pan Am exhibit at the Pacific Aviation Museum.  Discover Hawaii News was invited to attend, and we are honored to attend this event at the museum.

The new Pan Am exhibit celebrates the 75th Anniversary of Pan American Airways.

Stay tuned, we’ll be posting a review with pictures of the “Come Fly With Me” Pan Am exhibit grand opening. We’ll be on the lookout for great displays featuring classic Pan American Airways branded items such as:

  • Uniforms
  • Customer service signs
  • Navigation tools
  • Maintenance manual for the Boeing 314 China Clipper
  • Maps for routes serviced in the islands
  • More

We’ve also heard that there will be biographical information on the founders and pioneers of international air service—Juan Trippe, Charles Lindbergh, and Edward Musik.PAN AM - Discover Hawaii Tours

From the Navy website:

The exhibit, designed by Southern Custom Exhibits of Anniston, Ala. and built by museum staff, will feature artifacts and memorabilia in two modules: the 1930s and 1940s (“the early years”) and 1960s, (“the jet age”). It was designed to be an evolving exhibit that changes and grows as more artifacts are contributed by friends of Pan Am.
