One such site is Molokini, which is a small, world-famous volcanic island 3
miles off Maui's coast. The coastal area of Kalaeloa (Turtle Town) is known for
its fascinating lava formations and green sea turtles. The water at both of
these locations is so clear that you can see just about everything, sometimes
even to the ocean floor.
Besides turtles, you may see dolphins, whales, monk seals, manta rays, eels,
octopi and many other colorful fish. You can also find pristine snorkeling spots
on the island of Lanai, just a short (and fun) boat ride away.
