We offer a tour to Pearl harbor/ Arizona Memorial and it can be combine with a half day or full day island tour. If you want to do some hiking of remote areas to hidden waterfall and secluded beaches, our eco tour adventure will allow you to do that. Our island tours are a great way to see the island and you can choose from our full or half day tours.

    • We offer the best selection of Pearl Harbor tours to give our visitor exactly what they want to see and experience. We offer a tour to Pearl harbor/ Arizona Memorial and it can be combined with the city of Honolulu, Scenic Cost & hidden Waterfall, the North Shore, USS Missouri or the entire island.

    • We offer the best selection of eco-adventures to give our visitors exactly what they want to see and experience. Tour # 16 Waterfall Adventure Hike is a perfect hike to a hidden waterfall. If you want to hike and discover a hidden beach to boogie board, snorkel or just sun bathe tour 18 Beach Adventure is for you. For people that just want to be active or just relax in a remote hidden sandy beach tour #17 Beach Adventure is your best option.

    • Well, simply stated, different people have different needs. We know that we can't address the needs of a wide range of visitors with a single tour. That's why we offer seven different tour combinations with Pearl Harbor. Each of our tours is designed with the need of our visitors in mind. Arizona Memorial, Missouri, Arizona Memorial /Honolulu City, Arizona Memorial With Scenic Coasts & Hidden Waterfalls, Arizona Memorial / North Shore, Arizona Memorial / Circle Island, Arizona/ Memorial USS Missouri.

    • We offer a full-day island tour for people who want to see it all Circle Island Tour #9
      We offer half-day island tours for people who are interested in the North Shore Tour#10 or Scenic Coasts & Hidden Waterfalls Tour #12
  6. Why does Discover offer five Eco Adventures?
    • Eco-tourism is environmentally friendly and good for our Islands.
      Some visitors want to hike in the rainforest and others prefer to swim at our beautiful beaches, others want to conquer Diamond Head (Hawaii's most famous landmark), still others want the challenge of learning to boogie board.
  7. Where is the Depart location for the tour?
    • We Depart our passengers at most hotels in Waikiki
  8. How do we know who is picking us up?
    • All of our vehicles are marked with Discover Hidden Hawaii Tours. Also, our tour guides will be calling out your name when they reach your hotel.
  9. What happens if you do not pick us up?
    • That rarely happens, and when it does it's because we have the wrong hotel information. It is very important that you enter the correct hotel at which you will be staying. We recommend that you reconfirm your reservation once you arrive. If there are any changes on hotels or any delays on your arrival to the islands let us know by calling us toll free 1-808-737-3700. Remember that your tour guides have to Depart passengers at a few hotels and they we will be there on time. For example if your Depart time is between 8:45 and 9:05 am, your tour guide will be there between those times. Should we not be there a few minutes after the pick time, please call 1-808-737-3700 to check on the location of your tour guide.
  10. What is your cancellation policy?
    • You may cancel your reservations 24 hours before the tour date by calling us toll free 1-808-737-3700 or email us at reservations@discoverhawaiitours.com. Cancellations must be received more than 24 hours in advance of tour date and will result in a 10% processing fee. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are fully charged. No shows incur full charges. Claims for refunds must be made within thirty days of the date of service. All tours which include air transportation must be canceled at least 72 hours in advance and will incur a 10% processing fee. Thank you!

    • Yes, if you want to change your tour or tour date you can do it by calling our toll free number at 1-808-737-3700.
  12. Is there a charge for changing a reservation?
    • No there is no charge for changing a reservation.
  13. How long has your company been in business?
    • Founded in 1995, we have been operating without causality or major accident for nearly 8 years. Safety and customer satisfaction is a way of life for our company.
  14. Does your company have all required permits?
    • Yes, you can feel safe to be working with a reliable and stable company with the Public Utilities Commission and State and Federal permits and requirements.
  15. Does your company have insurance?
    • Yes, we carry a $2 million auto and general liability insurances.
  16. What kind of training do you offer your tour guides?
    • Our tour guides are our main assets to us. After completing a 2 weeks training in safety, Hawaiian culture, History, customer service and defiance driving they become Hawai'i's ambassadors of aloha.
  17. What type of vehicles do you use?
    • We use deluxe air-condition mini-coaches that seat up to 25 passengers and 12 passengers executive vans.
  18. Are your vehicles air-conditioned?
    • Yes, all of our vehicles are air-conditioned.
  19. Can I request a front seat?
    • Yes, please call us at 1-808-737-3700 or email us requesting front seat for disabled passengers.
  20. Does your company have a maintenance program?
    • Yes, we follow the pre-maintenance program recommended by the vehicle manufacturer to ensure our safety and limit vehicle malfunctions.
  21. Do you have full time mechanics?
    • Yes, we have two full-time certified mechanics that maintain our fleet.
  22. How often do you change your vehicles?
    • We change our vehicles every 3 years.
  23. What happens if a vehicle brakes down during the tour?
    • Although this rarely happens we are prepared to send one of our stand-by vehicles to the scene immediately.
  24. Can your vehicles accommodate collapsible wheelchairs?
    • Yes, our vehicles can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. Please advise of your special needs by call us at 1-808-737-3700.
  25. Can you provide or rent wheelchairs?
    • No, presently we do not provide or rent wheelchairs.
  26. Does your vehicle have a wheelchair lift?
    • No, unfortunately our vehicles do not have wheelchair lifts.
  27. Do you have a child rate?
    • Yes, our child rate applies to children between the ages of 2 and 11 years old. Lap child that do not use a seat travel at no charge.
  28. Do you provide or rent car seats?
    • No, we do not provide or rent car seat at this time. The law does not required car seats on tour buses.
  29. Can I bring a car seat?
    • Yes, you will be charged the child rate.
  30. Are tours suitable for infants?
    • Yes, we do ask of the parents to keep their children under control at all times for the child's safety and the enjoyment of others. Hiking tours are not recommended for infants.
  31. Are tours suitable for pregnant women?
    • Yes, all of the Island tours and Pearl Harbor tours are suitable for pregnant women; however, Hiking tours are not recommended for pregnant women.
  32. Do you stop for snacks / lunch?
    • Yes, all of our tours stop for snacks on the short tours and lunch on the full day tours. You will have time to feed your baby.
  33. Do you have bathroom stops?
    • Yes, we have scheduled bathroom stops along the routes. Should you required additional stops please let your tour guide know at the beginning of the tour and we will be more than happy to accommodate your request.
  34. Is there a lot of walking?
    • No, we do a lot of stops for picture taking to give you the opportunity to experience Hawaii. All of the stops on our Island tours & Pearl Harbor Tours are just a few yards from the mini-buses and therefore you do not need to walk far. If you prefer to stay on the bus, you can take pictures from your seat. The only tours the required walking are the Hiking tours.
  35. I have a medical condition; is it safe to go on tours?
    • For your safety, please check with your doctor and ask him / her of the tour you want to take and follow his/her instructions.
  36. Do you have any experience working with Seniors?
    • Yes, we have been working successfully with seniors groups since we started and we love it.
  37. Can your vehicle accommodate collapsible wheelchairs?
    • Yes, our vehicle can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. Please advise of your special needs by calling us at 1-808-737-3700.

    • If you are doing Tour # 16 Waterfall Hike wear comfortable shoes and clothing for hiking. If you are doing Tour #18 Beach Adventure, wear comfortable shoes and clothing for hiking and bring a towel and swimwear. If you are doing #17 Beach Adventure bring your swimwear and towel.
  40. Does your company provide equipment needed for the beach activities?
    • Yes, we provide sanitized snorkeling equipment and boogie boards.
  41. Does your company provide equipment needed for the hiking tours?
    • Yes, depending on the trail, if needed we will provide walking sticks, backpacks and the use of binoculars.
  42. How safe are the hiking trails?
    • We hike in well-maintained trails. There are no dangerous or poisonous animals or plants in Hawaii
  43. What about dangerous plants or poisonous animal or snakes?
    • There are no dangerous or poisonous animals, snakes or plants in Hawaii.
  44. Are there mosquitoes on the trails?
    • Yes, tropical rainforests may have mosquitoes.
  45. What kind of plants and flowers do you see in the hikes?
    • You will see endemic, indigenous, and introduced plants to the islands. Your tour guides will point out these beautiful plants.
  46. What birds can we see?
    • As with all nature tours, some days there are many birds to see, while other days there are none. Often you see white Rum-Shama, Japanese Bush Warbler, and Japanese White-Eye to name a few.
  47. What can I learn in this eco-adventure?
    • Learn how the Hawaiian people used various species of plants. Also learn about our legends, geology, history, and archeology.
  48. What about when there is inclement weather?
    • It rarely happens, but if the trails are not safe we will not operate the tour and you can reschedule or get a full refund.
  49. Are your tour guides trained for emergencies?
    • Yes, our professional guides are certified in first aid, water safety and CPR. We also carry first aid kits and mobile phones.
  50. What kind of physical condition do I need to be in to participate on the eco-adventure?
    • Participants should not have any medical conditions that prohibit physical activity
  51. Are the trails wheel chair accessible?
    • No they are not.
  52. How old do you have to be to go on this tour?
    • We do not recommend this tour for infants less than 3 years old.
  53. What can I bring with me on the tour to Pearl Harbor/ Arizona Memorial?
    • Because of security reasons you are not allow to bring any fanny packs, backpacks, purses or anything that provides concealment. You can bring your cameras and videos without their cases. If you are doing a Pearl Harbor with an Island tour combo you may bring your purses and leave them with your tour guides. We ask that you take all your cash and credit cards with you. Your personal items will be locked in the vehicle.

    • Yes, our tours are fully narrated and on the way to Pearl Harbor your tour guide will narrate the prelude to the attack.

    • The morning tours are the most ideal, especially the 6:45 a.m.
  56. Are there long lines at Pearl Harbor/ Arizona Memorial?
    • During the high seasons there can be long lines. However if you take the earliest tour at 6:45 a.m. you should not have any problems.
  57. Do I get to board the Memorial?
    • Yes we provide the official Navy tour and you board the Navy shuttle-boat to the Arizona Memorial.
  58. Can I bring flowers to Pearl Harbor/ Arizona Memorial?
    • Yes, you can bring flowers to honor our heroes. If you plan to use your lei's flowers please break the thread so the marine life is not hurt.

    • Yes there is a bookstore with many books and memorabilia of WWII.
