Day Four
The Waikiki Experience
Featuring a breathtaking scenic view of Waikiki
Beach, guests will wake up to the trade winds and sun on their face while they
rejuvenate their mind with Yoga. Enjoy the sweet smell of fruits and the aroma
of coffee before guests start their day at Sheraton Waikiki.
Next a funsational walk to the summit of Hawaii’s most famous landmark! More
than 3,500 feet in diameter, 500,000 years old Diamond Head is possibly the
world’s most recognized volcanic crater. From the peak, enjoy a 360-degree view
of the south Oahu and Waikiki. Guests will hike at own pace and search for
whales breaching in the winter months. The trail climbs the inside slope of
Diamond Head for about .6 miles. It’s a switchback trail with the mountain on
one side and a railing on the other. After a lookout point that doubles as a
rest stop, the trail takes an upward ascent through a series of stairs and
tunnels. The last set of stairs is 99-step climb that eventually leads to a
World War II bunker. From there, the stairs reach an end and they will step up
to some of the finest panoramic views on Oahu.
Guests will have the benefit of discovering the beaches of Waikiki at their
leisure, or indulge themselves at one of Starwood’s most famous spas, or simply
stroll down Waikiki and see what shopping opportunities await them.
In the afternoon they will be transferred to beautiful Kapiolani Park to shape
their bodies with our Strengthening/Pilates class.
Once guests return to the Sheraton Waikiki they will have time to renew
themselves at the spa before experiencing Hawaii’s best luau at Sea Life Park.
This Royal Luau features one of Waikiki's most exciting Polynesian shows. The
hour-long extravaganza features ancient and contemporary hula, sizzling Samoan
fire and knife dances, and Tahitian hula and drum dances.
