Univesity of Hawaii Quarterback for Heisman

Honolulu, Hawaii, July 20 (DHN) – The University of Hawaii is pushing the Mighty Mo, quarterback Bryant Moniz, for Heisman!
On July 19, the University of Hawaii officially launched the Bryant Moniz for Heisman campaign, in a quite unusual way: Social Media. With limited funds available, the school chose the path of Social Media to promote their quarterback instead of pumping much needed dollars into DVD promotions, as it has done in the past with quarterbacks Tim Chang and Colt Brennan. The online campaign shares its name with one of Hawaii’s most famous landmarks, the USS Missouri. Dubbed the “Mighty Mo”, the famous battleship is docked at Pearl Harbor, overlooking the USS Arizona Memorial, and coincidentally, one strong Moniz throw from Aloha Stadium, where the Warriors play their home games. Fans can visit the Moniz for Heisman on Facebook, Twitter, and the Hawaii Athletics YouTube page, which will be current and up to date with video, photos, stats and news all season long. Fans will also be able to voice support and interact with each other throughout the season on one Facebook page that is sure to gain much popularity throughout the football season. Keep an eye out for the Mighty Mo when visiting Hawaii this year. The battleship is docked at Pearl Harbor year round and offers daily tours while the University of Hawaii football season kicks off September 3rd with a home game against the University of Colorado.
