Treasures of the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet – Part 2

After my last trip to the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet, I was getting antsy to get back. I knew that I may not find something as good as last time, but the thought of finding anything good was attractive enough to drive me back. We planned out our day to stop at the stadium on our way to Kapolei, where we had plans with some friends. Though we weren’t at the Swap Meet for long, yet again, found a great item. Before I tell you about my find, you have to know that I am a huge baseball fan. Anything about the game is enough to stop me in my tracks, especially older things. Well, what do you think I found? How about this framed photo of Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays!
I was extremely excited to find this, and at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet was shocking. Not only is it a great old picture, and looks great on the wall, it’s an actual photo. Most of these images now are prints, or reprints, but this is an actual developed photo. My girlfriend didn’t even have to question whether or not I wanted it, without even looking at me, she walked up to the seller and asked him the price. So for only $10, with frame, this historic picture was ours. By the way, he was asking $17, so again, you have to haggle. I am planning on going to the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet soon, so if I find anything good, you’ll be sure to know about it.
