The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing on the North Shore

Running from November 12-December 20 on the world famous beaches of North Shore Oahu, The Vans Triple Crown is one of the most prestigious events in the surfing industry. The three events that make up the Triple Crown take place at three different breaks on the North Shore during specific waiting periods. The North Shore has always been known as the proving grounds for professional surfers, and if you’re looking to make a name for yourself this is the place to do it.

Reef Hawaiian Pro

The Reef Hawaiian Pro is the first event of the Triple Crown, and is ending the day before Thanksgiving. The holding period for this competition is from November 12-23rd, and it is held at Ali’i Beach in Haleiwa. Ali’i Beach Park is one of the first beaches as you come into the famous Haleiwa town, and is a very famous surfing spot.

Vans World Cup of Surfing
This Competition is held between November 24th and December 6th at Sunset Beach. The Vans World Cup of Surfing is the second competition in series that makes up the Vans Triple Crown, and when the swell is right Sunset beach has some of the best surf on the Island.

Billabong Pipe Masters

The third and final stop in the Vans Triple Crown is held at Banzai Pipeline between December 8th and the 20th, and is the Billabong Pipe Masters. Pipeline is probably one of the most recognizable waves in the entire world, and is definitely one of the most dangerous. The surfing here is as seriousand competitive as it gets.

Going on Now

The first event of the Vans Triple Crown, The Reef Hawaiian Pro, is ending on November 23rd, and is underway. We are still waiting for the results for the final of this competition.
