Roseanne in Hawaii
If there is one thing people love more than visiting Hawaii it is watching a celebrity reality show on television. With Wednesday’s premiere of Roseanne’s Nuts, a new reality show about Roseanne Barr and her macadamia nut farm on the Big Island of Hawaii, the Lifetime network might have just stumbled upon a recipe for success. Barr, best known for her starring role in Roseanne from 1988 to 1997, bought the Big Island farm for $1.78 million back in 2007. Over the past year Roseanne has been living on the Honokaa macadamia nut farm with her boyfriend Johnny Argent and her teenage son, Buck. The new Lifetime show will be composed of 16 episodes focusing on Roseanne’s decision to leave Los Angeles for a rural lifestyle in Hawaii. The series premiere drew 1.6 million viewers according to Nielsen, not exactly huge numbers. Yet Lifetime is already spinning the show as a resounding success. Regardless of whether the show’s numbers improve, it will certainly inspire more people to visit the gorgeous Big Island of Hawaii.
