OC Sports Channel to launch, University of Hawaii in the Spotlight

Beginning tonight, Oceanic Time Warner Cable and broadcasts the OC Sports programming on two channels:
  • Cable Channel 12
  • HD Cable Channel 1012
  • Pay-per-view Channel 255
  • Pay-per-view HD Channel 1255

The first college-specific regional sports network

OC Sports will become the very first regional sports network to be dedicated to a single university. When he announced the network’s launch, Oceanic president Bob Barlow said,
“Our OCSports services were designed to shine a bright light on University of Hawai’i athletics and to help make those athletic programs fantastic local entertainment options in Hawaii.”
Initial coverage begins with a University of Hawaii women’s soccer match against Washington State University. It marks the beginning of nearly 100 live events to be aired on OC Sports in the channel’s first year.
