Honolulu, Hawaii, July 25 (DHN)
Everyone wants to save money on their Hawaii vacation.
Here are a few tips to make your next tour
of Hawaii a bit more affordable.
With airlines charging for every checked bag, the idea of buying a lot of souvenirs has become a much pricier proposition. However, you don’t need to pack less in order to bring home fun souvenirs for your family and friends. All you need to do is grab a few flat-rate
shipping boxes from a nearby post office. With a set price fee, you will pay the exact same shipping from Hawaii as you would for a box from California to Arizona. Just head to the Post Office the day before you leave Hawaii and ship your gifts home. The best news is you won’t pay overweight baggage fees at the airport, and you won’t get a hernia trying to carry your much heavier suitcase!
Hotel Credit Cards save you money in Hawaii!
If you don’t have a hotel credit card yet, you should consider getting one before your Hawaii vacation. With a Hyatt Visa card, you can get two-nights free at a posh hotel! Another great card is the Starwood American Express card. Not only is this card great for redeeming points for free and discounted stays at Sheraton, Starwood, Westin and St. Regis hotels, you can also redeem your points for flights on over 30 airlines.
Don’t think the only things free to do in Hawaii is just go to the beach. With a little research, you can find great things to do for free. Every Friday, the Royal Hawaiian Band plays in front of Iolani Palace
. From noon to one you can enjoy a free concert on the lawn of the only royal palace in the United States. Afterwards, walk right across Richards Street to the Hawaii State Art Museum
where admission is free.
