How do you like your sake? Warm? Chilled? Some even prefer it in “bomb” form. The Joy of Sake Festival aims to spread sake education and appreciation. If you love sake and want to learn more about it, check out this upcoming event!
What is the Joy of Sake Festival?
Celebrating sake internationally with special events held in major cultural centers, the Joy of Sake Festival is on a mission to spread education about and appreciation for sake.
Events held in Honolulu, New York City, and Tokyo will showcase the world’s finest sakes by offering tastings and companies a chance to exposé their products. Just like wines, tasting different sakes is key to learning about the flavors and processes going into making this Japanese rice wine.
Joy of Sake Festival in Honolulu
Did you know Honolulu has the largest number of sake-serving restaurants per capita? Cuisine in Hawaii has a heavy asian influence, and it shows. There will be 13 of Honolulu’s best restaurants serving up appetizers to pair with the over 300 types of sake to try.
So if you love sushi, or just enjoy learning more about different cultures’ food and drinks, this is an event you wont want to miss!
The Joy of Sake festival will be held at the Pier 2 Cruise Terminal on Friday, July 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
