JFK to HNL: Hawaiian Airlines nonstop flights from New York in June 2012
Need a break from the Big Apple? Hawaiian Airlines is about to make your Hawaii vacation dreams a whole lot easier (and cheaper when you book the introductory rate). The airline company announced that they will begin nonstop service to Honolulu from the JFK International Airport in New York starting in June 2012.
“New York is an important part of our growth strategy,” said Hawaiian’s president and CEO, Mike Dunkerly, during a to New York this week. (source: nydailynews.com)As a bonus, the introductory rate is only $212 one way. That’s dirt cheap compared to the $500-$800 price tags currently on travel sites like Kayak, Priceline and Expedia. The catch? Travelers must book their flights for June 2012 by the end of November 2011. A one way first class ticket will cost $808, just a few dollars more than Continental’s non-stop economy class flight from JFK to HNL. UPDATE: Hawaiian’s special introductory rate was so popular, it’s already sold out! The new route will give New Yorkers the opportunity to a tropical getaway, or even Kama’aina looking to explore the concrete jungle of Manhattan. On their website, Hawaiian Airlines reminds us of the offerings on board:
- Roomy, New Widebody Planes
- Complimentary Meals Curated by Hawaii’s own Chef Chai Chaowasaree
- State of the art In-Flight Entertainment
- Award-winning Hana Hou! Magazine
