Start your weekend off right by watching this incredible thermal time lapse video of a Hawaii lava lake. Shot by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) over the course of two months, this stunning footage shows the rise and fall of a lava lake in the Kilauea Volcano.
According to the USGS, this lava movement in the video is occurring underground. Unfortunately, Discover Hawaii Tours does not offer thermal vision binoculars on our Evening Tour of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park quite yet. Still, if you’re looking for a great tour of the Big Island of Hawaii and the Kilauea Volcano, we have you covered.
