Hawaii Theatre Features Hit Show

Looking for a fun thing to do in Oahu this weekend? Look no further because the Hawaii Theatre is hosting the hit show Sing-A-Long Sound of Music the weekend of July 15-17 for 3 very special performances.
If you haven’t heard of Sing-A-Long Sound of Music, the show incorporates a screening of the 1965 classic movie musical The Sound of Music. However, just like the name implies, this is a fun-filled sing-a-long that features various props for the audience. The evening features hosts that help direct audience participation, letting audience members know when to use props throughout the film. This great thing to do in Oahu is a truly interactive movie experience! You will even get a chance to hear the Hawaii Theatre’s house organist, John McCreary, play the 1922 Robert Morton theater pipe organ before the performance begins. What’s more there is a famous fancy-dress competition for audience members who come in costume! Since 1999, Sing-A-Long Sound of Music has been entertaining audiences in over 9 countries. The Friday and Saturday performances will be held at 7:30 pm. Sunday’s performance, billed as the Sunday Family Matinee at 2:00 pm. Not only is this a great show, but a visit to the historic Hawaii Theatre is a great thing to do in Oahu on vacation.
