Hawaii Mango Celebration

Looking for a fun thing to do in Oahu this weekend? Head down to Waikiki for the 3rd annual Mangoes at the Moana, held at the Moana Surfrider this Saturday, July 9th.
Nothing says summer in Hawaii like mango. With mango season in full bloom, the Moana Surfrider’s celebration starts at 10 am in the resort’s Banyan Courtyard. This free event is fun a thing to do in Oahu for the entire family, and will feature a variety of booths and action stations, all featuring mango! Whatever your mango fancy, there is a booth. Attend a Mango Growing Seminar, sample mango dishes from local chefs at the Best Mango Recipe Contest, or attend a Mango Bootcamp where you can learn about health and wellness. Everyone’s favorite event is the Mango Throwdown where eleven local Honolulu chefs will whip up an inventive dish that features a mango as its key ingredient. Open to the public, you can even sample these creations for a small fee. Even better, the event will feature musical entertainment out in the Banyan Courtyard, making this an excellent thing to do in Oahu this Saturday. The Moana Surfrider opened in 1901 and is known as the First Lady of Waikiki.
