5th Annual Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle At Honolulu Academy of Arts on Oahu Hawaii

12 Graffiti artists from around Hawaii will converge on the Honolulu Academy of Arts this weekend to showcase their talent and their message. The artists are competing for a spot in the Graffiti Battle finals this October in Oakland, California. It is an unconventional medium, and an unconventional means of expression. Contest organizers, sponsors, and artist want to make their presence in the community known. Today’s world is in a constant state of evolution; graffiti artists want their voice to be heard and respected rather than feared and looked-down-upon, and it is great to see a grass roots effort such as this backed by an organization such as the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The event begins Saturday at the Honolulu Academy of Arts Linekona center between 12 noon and 7:00pm.  There will be lots of activities and workshops throughout the day.

Some of the featured events are as Follows
