Touring Hawaii can be an awe-inspiring experience. So much so that people seem to leave without everything they came with. Feeling like you lost something somewhere is one nobody likes to have, so here’s what you should do if you lost something on tour.
Lost something on tour?
The first thing you should do is contact us immediately
If you feel like you lost something on tour, the first thing you should do is contact us. This way we will be aware of the situation as soon as possible and can begin to help you track it down!
Call us: (808) 737-3700. Our reservations department is open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily, Hawaii Standard Time, and will be more than happy to help you.
If you need to contact us after hours, email us at: reservations[at]DiscoverHawaiiTours.com and we will follow up promptly the following morning and work hard on the retrieval of your belongings.
Provide us with the following information when you contact us: your full name, date of your tour and name of your guide, which tour you were on, and a detailed description of your lost item. Remember to leave your contact info so we can call you as soon as we find your lost items.
What we can do for you
If you lost something on tour what we can do for you is check with your guide and search the bus you toured on. Items are usually found and returned on the next day.
What once was lost now is found:
If your belongings are found, we can do a few different things for you. The quickest way to get it back would be to schedule to meet up with our guide for the next day at the Waikiki hotel we picked you up at.
If you are leaving before being able to retrieve it, or on an inter-island tour, we can ship it to you via Priority Mail for a standard rate which includes shipping and administration fees.
What to do if you find something on our bus
If you find something on tour with us please give it to the driver at the next stop. This way if there is an alert for this item and it wasn’t found earlier, we can notify the owners who are missing their property.
Tip: Make a checklist of things you’re bring on tour
The best thing you can do is not forget anything on the tour bus. Make a checklist on your phone of everything you brought or bought on tour and check it before you’re dropped off.
We hope you don’t forget anything on tour and will do our best to help get your belongings back to you!
