Hawaii’s largest carrier, Hawaiian Airlines has been expanding routes to new destination cities for the past few years. This week the company announced it will begin service to Brisbane, Australia in November and to Auckland, New Zealand in March.
Hawaiian Airlines “Down Under”
Hawaiian Airlines has been serving many area of the Pacific for quite some time. They have been successful in filling their route between Sydney, Australia and Honolulu, Hawaii so much that they will be adding a new route on November 27.
Just in time for summer in the southern hemisphere, you can enjoy Christmas by making sand angels and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef!
Hawaiian Airlines to Auckland
Beginning in March, 2013 Hawaiian Airlines will be the only American carrier to have service to New Zealand. Air New Zealand and Australian carrier Quantas serve New Zealand, and Hawaiian Airlines is looking to get a piece of the market.
America has fallen in love with the scenery of New Zealand time and time again, especially because of movies like “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy which was filmed in New Zealand. With no shortage of wondrous natural landscapes, a trip to New Zealand will be one to remember.
If you’re flying on Hawaiian Airlines between islands in Hawaii, you should be aware of their new baggage policy so you don’t hit any surprises at the gate!
