Mānoa Chocolate

Mānoa Chocolate Hawaii was founded through friendship, surfing and a passion for fine local foods.

We craft a high quality product that celebrates the flavor profiles of the cacao beans. We currently focus on a wide variety of 1.5 oz. dark chocolate bars.

Mānoa Chocolate wants you to know it’s Shaka Summer time!

Our Ingredients

Our ingredients are simple: cacao beans, cane sugar and cocoa butter. Our bars often include dried tropical fruits, coffee beans, Hawaiian sea salt, Hawaiian grown chili peppers and dried ginger to compliment the natural chocolate taste.

Our Team

Our team is a young group of professional chocoholics dedicated to making the best possible chocolate bars with the high-end cacao beans we have found locally and globally.

Hawaii and the Cacao Industry

Hawaii is the only state in the U.S. that can grow cacao. We believe that cacao will be one of Hawaii’s most important agricultural industries. Like Kona coffee, Hawaiian cacao will become world renown.

Make the most of your vacation

Remember to first experience our beautiful beaches and hikes (Discover Hawaii Tours will help you here). It is important to get out of Waikiki to truly experience what Hawaii has to offer.

After a lovely paddle in Kailua Bay or a swim at Lanikai Beach, you can come quench your palate with a taste of what our quaint and comfortable factory has to offer.

Our unique chocolate bar lineup includes goat milk, ginger, Kona coffee beans and Hawaiian grown chili peppers.

At 7:00 pm we will open a few bottles and do chocolate and wine pairings. To finish your experience, Kailua has some wonderful restaurants that you shouldn’t miss—Buzz’s Steakhouse, Formaggio’s and Kalapawai Cafe to name a few—offer a classy yet affordable dining experience to cap off the day.

Recipe for a lazy day:

Grab 2 slices of sourdough bread, brush olive oil on the outside. Slice up some brie, or your favorite creamy cheese, and layer it on one slice of bread. Then shave your favorite Mānoa chocolate bar on top. Load it up with some sliced strawberries, or raspberries. Sprinkle some fresh basil and Hawaiian sea salt. Close up the sandwich and grill it.

  1. The photos are great, and the sustainable chocolate idea sounds wonderful. Two of my favorites are sea salt flavor and chili peppers. I will have to check into it, would love to support such a great cause. Yummy! -Daniella
