Waikiki is an amazing place. Famous for highrise hotels, white sandy beaches, surf lessons, fantastic dining, and vibrant nightlife, it has something for everyone. And don’t for get the shopping, shopping, and more shopping! What’s not as famous are the free things to do in Waikiki.

Fun and Free in Waikiki

Here are some great ways to have fun and experience Hawaiian culture without shelling out big bucks!

Every day of the week Mana Hawaii offers Hawaiian culture classes and activities.  From ukulele and hula dancing lessons, to lei making and how to speak Hawaiian, Mana Hawaii is a great way to make some lasting memories on your vacation.

Located on the second floor of the Waikiki Beach Walk, there will be free events taking place during the month of May as they celebrate their fifth anniversary. For a class schedules and information, check out the Mana Hawaii homepage.

Free Fundays on Sundays

Every Sunday starting at 2:00 pm the Royal Hawaiian Band plays at Kapiolani Park. The park is a great place to picnic and is located next to Honolulu Zoo on the edge of Waikiki.

Take a Sunset Walk in the Sand

What can be free and priceless? A tropical Hawaiian sunset.  Taking a stroll on Waikiki Beach is never more beautiful than in the evening. Sunset photos are a great way to create memorable vacation, and every Friday evening there is a fireworks show at Waikiki beach.
