About Dragon’s Teeth
Dragons Teeth is an interesting natural formation that occurred on Makalua-puna point as molten lava was pushed back and cooled by the large northern swells. Sea Turtles can often be spotted swimming near shore at Dragons Teeth so check over the edge. This point also provides great views of Honokahua Bay.
There is an ancient Hawaiian burial ground located in the area, and much of the area is considered sacred to native Hawaiians. If you do decide to visit Dragons Teeth, go with a respectful attitude, and realize that you are on sacred grounds.
